The Frestonian was the magazine of the Normanton Grammar School in West Yorkshire, England.
This Grammar School was set up in 1592 in accordance with the Will of John Freston, barrister-at-law from the adjoining ancient village of Altofts.
The magazine first appeared in 1905 and existed until the 1970s. There were generally three editions per academic year – Autumn, Spring and Summer.
The main objective of this website is to gather together digitized copies of the Frestonian magazine.
It is intended as a non-profit making venture that honours the founder, staff and pupils who put so much of themselves into the school in days gone by.
This remains a work in progress. If you can locate or supply missing copies of the magazine, you are invited to contact the Frestonian webmaster through the Contact us page.
